Meet Dr. Mohamed El-Rabbany, DDS, MSc, PhD, FRCD(C), Dip ABOMS

Dr. Mohamed El-Rabbany is an Oral, Maxillofacial and Pediatric Craniofacial Surgeon. He completed his undergraduate studies at McMaster University, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto. Dr. El-Rabbany then went on to complete his surgical residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Toronto. Following his residency, he moved to Tampa, Florida, where he received advanced training in the form of a fellowship in Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery at the Florida Craniofacial Institute. After completion of his fellowship, Dr. El-Rabbany continued to practice as a Craniofacial surgeon at the Florida Craniofacial Institute as well as with the Tampa Bay Cleft and Craniofacial Center prior to his return to Canada.

Dr. El-Rabbany’s unique combination of expertise allows him to treat patients of all ages while practicing the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His areas of focus are cleft and craniofacial surgery, corrective jaw surgery, pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgery, facial trauma, wisdom teeth, and dental implants. Dr. El-Rabbany is a surgeon at Hamilton Health Sciences, which includes Hamilton General Hospital and McMaster Children’s Hospital.

In addition to his surgical practice, Dr. El-Rabbany also has a passion for research. Having completed both his Master’s and PhD degrees in Clinical Epidemiology from McMaster University and the University of Toronto respectively, Dr. El-Rabbany continues to enrich his practice by contributing to the scientific literature. To date, Dr. El-Rabbany has authored numerous scientific publications as well as lectured both nationally and internationally.
